We, Franz and Daniela are married and we have 5 children, Dominic, Michaela, Cédric, Matthieu and Joël
We love animals, specially horses and dogs and like to be on outside activities
Since we took over the ranch from the parents in 2002, we could realise our dream and posses our Appaloosa horses and we could start breeding these horses of the natives of North America. We can now admire our Appaloosas –breeding stock unique in Switzerland
Our interest and our link to the culture of the natives of North America, specially the tribes of the grate plains have taught us a philosophy near Nature and towards the animals. Further more out of this heritage we like to develop the mounted archery and life in tipis etc.
One of our primary preoccupations is to give to our animals a live as near as possible as in nature respecting the specific needs of the breeds and the training methods respecting their natural’s behaviour as much as possible
Dogs have always be "members" of our family
Since 2006 we have enlarged our animal stock by buying Alpacas
Sometimes modern medicine is necessary to be taken or applied. Nevertheless in quite some cases nature provides us a similar product, quite as effective. That’s a reason we started to produce milk out of our Appaloosa mares in 2007 in order to get a very special and unique product with a lot of very interesting effects for maintaining good health or immune-system-supporting properties – the mares milk
